This Iron Cop Uses His Powers to Protect and Serve

By Richard K. Noots

Now that Baltimore’s dust is settling, we often ask ourselves, “Just what is the point of law enforcement?” Although we cannot judge one group by a few bad eggs, outcries against authoritative abuse are nothing new. That’s why when I see men like Damon Cole of the Dallas Police Department, I know there are officers out there who care more about serving the needs of the people as opposed to getting rid of crime. The purpose of police is not to remove crime from the world, as this is an impossible task. Instead, more officers should take a cue from Damon and help their populace.
