They always say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That is also true when it comes to happiness. There are millions of notions people have out there to live a happy/successful life. Why do you think self-help or self-improvement seminars exist?
Everyone is just trying to find out where their happiness resides. Don’t worry if you don’t know your purpose in life, can’t find love, or you just seem to be stuck in a rut. Life is filled with ups and downs; when life gets you down, try implementing some of these secrets to your life. You’ll be amazed at your results.
The Circle Of Life
In the “Lion King”, the famous song “The Circle of Life” has a certain line in it. It states to live and let live. Don’t stress about what your neighbor is doing or if some idiot decides to cut you off on the freeway.
Just be happy that you weren’t in the accident and you are enjoying the speed you are going.
Which leads me off into the next secret. Slow down. As a kid, we always wanted to grow up so fast. Now that we are grown up; we want the best of the best and we want it now. Instant gratification has been the biggest pain in the ass that has become a huge issue in this society.
We want to be successful now. We want to have an empire now. We want a ferrari with a smoking hot model in the passenger seat. The list goes on and on.
Our girlfriends are always staring at the Beverly Hills Housewives and all the riches they have. They expect the men to be able to provide that for them otherwise there are issues. Make sure to just slow down and enjoy the life you were given.
Of course you can start to build your empire, but don’t forget to take a sip of coffee near a quiet location. Even if it’s just for a few minutes, truly enjoy your surroundings and the blessings you were given up until now.
Pay It Forward
I’m not talking about spending tons of money on presents; I’m talking about the simple act of paying it forward. Wasn’t there a time in your life that someone helped you in your time of need? Or maybe you were in line to get your Starbucks fix and you were told the person that just left already paid for your coffee?
Have you ever done that for someone else? Let me tell you, it’s one of the greatest feelings in the world and it’s so simple. The person doesn’t even have to know it was you!
Try it out! It will definitely give you a sense of fulfillment that you made someone else’s life a little better today. You don’t know what their story is; so just brighten someone’s day up. It could change their life.
