When Tom Artiaga ran into a burning house to save a man last week, it was not because he works for the fire department.  He’s actually a contractor who lives in the Fresno area of California.

His random act of heroism was recognized recently on the Jimmy Kimmel show.  The bravery Tom showed, while dangerous, is a lesson in what it is like to be part of the human experience.  It reminds us that when we have a gut feeling, or an instinct to act selflessly, the power of good karma shares its effects for our efforts.  And sometimes, you get to meet Tommy Lasorda too.
