This Cash Board Campaign Aims to Teach People Generosity & Compassion

By Anne Cacherell

This campaign opens a window of opportunity for people to spread compassion and generosity.  In this project, a production company called The Toolbox held a social experiment in Los Angeles Union Station. They put up a bulletin board with tacked up dollar bills with a simple message that says, “Give What You Can, Take What You Need.”

The Toolbox video producer Tyler Bridges said, “The idea came from a conversation I had with a few friends on generosity and the contagious effect that giving has. It was really inspiring to see people from all walks of life get excited about the board. We even had a woman in a wedding dress participate.”

We all have our shares of good and bad days. We can never really tell when we will need other people’s help. What opportunity do you see in this campaign? Share with us your thoughts.
