Life-sized Artwork Comes to Reality After Five Years

By Richard K. Noots

Every now and then an artists accomplishes something so strange, amazing and wonderful you can’t help but take a step back and wonder how they even grasped the scope of their project. Enter Liza Lou. She spent five years painstakingly creating a life-sized kitchen and backyard. The only items she used were millions and millions of tiny beads. Most of the time she was on her hands and knees with tweezers, placing in every individual bead. Truly, this was a labor of love.

Here, it begins.
