His Only Wish Was to Meet His Idol, But He Got Something He Never Thought Possible

By Anne Cacherell

Wishes are not only granted in fairy tales.

On 2005, The Make-A-Wish Foundation learned about a 10-year-old boy, who was suffering from a serious liver disease, and his wish to meet his favorite American country music singer-songwriter, Toby Keith.

The little kid’s name is Trevor Scott, who at that time was under the care of Cleveland’s Clinic Children’s Hospital and was awaiting a liver transplant.

When Keith heard about the boy’s request, there’s no way he could turn him down. To grant Trevor’s wish, the country singer invited the young boy to meet him backstage during his performance at Blossom Music Center in Cleveland, Ohio. On top of that, Keith also allowed Trevor to join him on stage and sing his first recorded song and Trevor’s favorite, American Soldier.

Three days after the touching duet, Trevor received the transplant that saved his life.

As long as love exists, wishes will come true. Did this story touch your heart? Have you ever made a person happy by granting his wish? Share with us your thoughts.
