A group of students known as Plan have started an idea that could change colleges forever. While one student was walking to his dorm, he noticed a perfectly good futon sitting in the dumpster. Undeterred, he scooped it out and decided to use it for his future apartment. What he also noticed however, was that all of the items in the dumpster could have been reused. This set off a chain which now has student groups popping up in the country that not only take student’s old furniture, but store it and sell it at very cheap rates for future students who will be in need. Oh, and the proceeds go right to making sure they can do it the following year. Amazing!
